With our New Jersey web design company, the process of building a website begins with your answers in a creative brief, followed by our research. What's the difference between a framework and a fully custom website?: The differences between the two web design options boil down to design flexibility. With a framework site, we are, in essence, telling you how the site will look as we apply your brand to our proven framework. With a custom site, you are telling us how you want the site to look. The structure and design of a custom website start from scratch and are entirely flexible. The SEO strategy and content development are the same for both the framework and custom site options. Both are mobile friendly.
How long does it take to build a website?: It takes 10 to 12 weeks, on average, to complete a framework website. Custom sites typically require five to six months. Each project’s timeline is dependent on the client’s responsiveness to requests for input and approvals, along with other circumstances at the time the work begins. Your digital project manager on our NJ team will keep you apprised of progress with status updates using project management software called Basecamp to organize and track communications.
Will I be able to update my website on my own?: Not only will you be able to add new content or edit existing content on your website—we will even provide you with a one-hour recorded training session using screensharing to teach you how to maintain your website. Does WordPress mean the theme was purchased online somewhere?

Since my website will be built on WordPress, does that mean it can be hacked or compromised easily?

WordPress powers roughly 35 percent of websites and continues to grow. Just like any other popular piece of technology, the larger the user base and interest the more likely bots and malicious people will target the platform. WordPress provides many updates to constantly patch holes found in the software, just like smartphones and computer operating systems do. As long as you host your site with a reliable company and maintain plugin/WordPress updates, you will be protecting your website from hacking. If something does compromise your website, your team at KickCharge Creative is fully equipped to diagnose, fix and inform you on what happened, why it happened and what steps we put in place to help prevent this from happening again.

Will my site have backups?

There are many backup solutions for your website. If you choose to host with KickCharge Creative, daily snapshot backups of your site will be captured automatically. If you would like to host your website elsewhere, we can review the hosting provider’s offerings to determine if automated backups are included or if we need to suggest a third-party solution. By default, KickCharge Creative sets up a 30-day backup solution as a failsafe in devastating emergencies; however, it is worth exploring more robust systems that back up daily or weekly.

Will my website rely on many third-party plugins?

We do a lot of custom programming for our clients’ websites. However, we also rely on a handful of trusted premium WordPress plugins that have a large following, support system and longevity in the community. Per your website contract, we will provide the license for the select few plugins that we use on all of our sites. After your website launches, KickCharge is not responsible for additional plugins you or a third party installs. You are always welcome to reach out to our team for advice about software being added to your website. We are happy to help!

Will my website be slow?

A lot of factors affect site speed and optimization. KickCharge Creative will provide you with a website that has optimized code and structure. However, it’s always a balancing act. For example, if you rely on images to showcase your work, we can provide some compression tactics and suggestions, such as a content delivery network (CDN) to improve the delivery speed. But at the same time, we do not want to overly compress high-quality images so they do not look as pristine.

Another large factor that clients typically do not consider is the hosting environment. This could easily be the largest reason for poor site performance. It can be tempting to sign up for an affordable $5-$10/month hosting plan, but choosing the cheapest option results in huge sacrifices in security and speed. If you choose to host with KickCharge Creative through our hosting provider FlyWheel, we can stand behind its performance. After all, we use it for our own site! We also can suggest other companies with great reputations if you would rather host elsewhere.

In talking about the cost vs. value, I'm not sure this was worth it.We had another company quote us less and we would have received more. KickCharge wanted an additional $12k for a brand book after we had already spent more than that just for a logo and a van wrap design. Even got charged extra for uniform designs (a singular shirt).Working with KickCharge feels very corporate. There's no personal touch and you are definitely just another number. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but definitely not what we were expecting. It seemed weird to give a company the honor/trust of redesigning the face of the place you dedicate your life to (business owners know that your company is like your child), work with them for 5 months, yet they still spell your name wrong. Again, that's just my take.Additionally, there are super long lead times.The only thing I can really say is that the logo is cool, but not for what we spent and the experience that came with it.

Some call them expensive. I say they're worth every penny at just about any price.I'm a very small shop, so to say the expense is worth it is no small feat - Dan Antonelli and KickCharge really earned their place as the absolute leader.A few years ago I started searching on Google Images for truck wraps to find a designer. Designs by KickCharge stood out throughout my search. I didn't know about them or Dan. Didn't know they did my mentors work or a bunch of shops in my region that looked at with admiration.After I finally settled on a new business name, I approached KickCharge, and wrote a very large check. I met with my account manager and a designer to discuss design elements and colors. 2-3 weeks later, samples came back - I was floored! It wasn't an easy to pick between them. I asked for parts of 1 design to be applied to another and after a discussion or two the final design was settled.Then that work went off to a few departments. My character got shading and depth added to it, and then the work got applied to a wrap design. Once I signed off on the initial wrap design it was then worked onto to the front, back and opposite side of the vehicle.Then his team did my Yard Signs and Door Hangers etc. Everything the touch looks amazing.I'm thrilled to be a client.

Kickcharge redid our brand about a year ago. I waited to give this review because I wanted to see how the brand performed as well as how the support was from the company. As expected the entire team has been amazing through and through!! We cut our advertising back to almost nothing as we are having a hard time keeping up with the work that comes in off of the truck. We initially had the design the new brand and truck wraps. Over the past year we have added in shirts, business cards with shiny Stars (so cool), letter head, table clothes and vinyl banners. We found the cure for WVS (White Van Syndrome)! The doctors name is Dan Antonelli! The prescription was a complete overhaul for our 54 year old business (Tuck & Howell). It all started when I spoke to a friend of mine that hired Kickcharge to brand his business (Bullseye in Sarasota, FL.). He recommended that I read the book Branded Not Blanded. I was actually working for a company and had been telling my wife that I want to go out on my own.... I have been in the business my whole life and wanted to start my own business but I was missing something. The book made it all come together for me. The proverbial light bulb went off in my head the moment I read the book. I had an opportunity to buy my family's business and it was right after reading Dan's book.The reason I keep referencing the book is because when a contractor thinks about a complete overhaul of their brand, they think "oh my gosh that's way too expensive". The fact of the matter is that it's a hell of a lot more expensive not to do it! That's the absolute facts!An amazing phenomenon about rebranding is that not only do you get to increase revenue by attracting more customers but you will attract potential employees! YES I SAID THAT! There is a huge shortage in this industry for technicians and installers as everyone knows. The fact of the matter is that technicians like to feel proud of the company they work for. They like to pull up to the house driving a wrapped vehicle with some cool and sticky branding, walk up to the door wearing a uniform matching the vehicle, handing the home owner a business card that matches as well!
