As a child, Alyson lived her life surrounded by art, but would have told you she was going to deliver babies when she grew up. Eventually, she had to accept that being an OB was not in her future and, after stumbling around a bit, focused on her love for design. After finishing school, she found her passion in packaging design and spent the first eight years of her career designing packaging for a wide variety of products and brands. Her love for packaging is as strong as ever, but she knew it was time to explore other areas of design.
She stumbled upon KickCharge while out running errands one day and she is so glad she did! After sending an email and getting the interview, she landed the job! She is now taking her design skills in a new and exciting direction.
Alyson graduated magna cum laude with a BFA in graphic design from Rutgers- Newark.
Her proudest accomplishment is buying her house. One day she woke up, decided she was going to buy a house, gave up her shoe addiction (a tough decision) and saved every penny she could. On her 30th birthday, she closed on her little fixer upper on the river. Making the house into her home over the last few years has been an incredible (and at times humbling) experience.
“Listen to the mustn’ts, child. Listen to the don’ts. Listen to the shouldn’ts, the impossibles, the won’ts. Listen to the never haves, then listen close to me… Anything can happen, child. Anything can be.” ― Shel Silverstein
Alyson loves to travel, a passion she found a bit later in life. She is currently working diligently to get as many stamps in her passport as possible. From experiencing the magic of Dublin on St. Patrick’s Day to enjoying poolside drinks in the Bahamas, if it involves getting on an airplane, Alyson is in. She is also always ready for a weekend escape to upstate New York for some hiking or to Florida for kayaking.
When she’s not traveling, Alyson loves to spend time with her family and friends. She enjoys hosting at her house, cooking and baking for birthdays, holidays or just because. When the weather is warm, she spends her days convincing people to come tubing with her (The river is just across the street!) or swimming or fishing in the lake at her parents’ house. During the colder months, you will find her curling up with her latest book, tackling one of the many projects around the house or focusing on one of the other random hobbies she’s picked up.
