Ever since Erik was a child, he had many different interests. He started playing violin at the age of 4 and has been drawing ever since he can remember. Growing up, he played sports, skateboarded, rode BMX bikes, snowboarded and breakdanced (I still has some old videos floating around YouTube). Although many of those interests have come and gone, there is one thing that has stood the test of time. In fifth grade, he was introduced to the art of drawing and painting lettering. Now two and a half decades later, he is still just as intrigued and passionate about drawing and painting lettering as ever. It is that passion that led Erik to pursue a career in the creative field.
He began his career working in the sign and vehicle wrap industry, where he got experience in all aspects from sales, print, production, installation and design. It was in the sign industry where he completely fell in love with commercial vehicle wrap design. He already had a love for designing logos and brand identities, but applying those to a moving billboard brought his love of design to a whole new level.
Although Erik has many hobbies & interests, his greatest passion is being a creative, whether that is painting, drawing or designing. Because art & design is something that you can always improve at, it never gets boring because there are always new techniques, new perspectives and new styles to learn.
Erik loves to spend time with his wife and dog Coco, as well as hanging out with family and friends. He and his wife often find themselves in their favorite city of San Francisco where they enjoy the great food, perfect weather and soaking up the intoxicating atmosphere and energy of the city. When not in the city they also love spending time up in the mountains taking in nature. There is nothing more magical than waking up to everything covered in fresh snow! ErikI also loves watching auto racing, specifically NASCAR, Sprint Car and Midget racing.
“I’ve missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game-winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.” ― Michael Jordan
