Kevin’s interest in art began at a very young age when he would use household materials and art supplies to create crafts. According to his mom, “There wasn’t enough tape in the world to satisfy his artistic needs!” From these basic supplies, he advanced to more complicated media, such as ceramic and found objects. In high school, Kevin was greatly encouraged and influenced by his art teacher, George Boudman, and created a fused glass art portfolio.
Originally, Kevin planned to get a business degree, but his teacher convinced him to turn his love for art into a career. Kevin went on to get his bachelor’s degree in Art + Design from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania. While in college, Kevin worked at an art studio, where he learned the skills necessary to instruct art classes to children and adults. He also worked at ESU’s Graphics Center, a full service print and design shop, where he was mentored by his boss, Cindy Vojnovic. As college graduation approached, he started doing graphic design on a freelance basis and developed a passion for branding. It was this passion for branding that fueled his desire to join the team at KickCharge Creative!
Kevin received a Bachelor of the Arts from East Stroudsburg University, with a concentration in Integrated Art + Design.
Kevin’s proudest accomplishment was receiving the “Best Overall Portfolio” award for his fused glass artwork. It really solidified his confidence in his fine art work and pushed him toward a career in the arts.
“Some of the most wonderful people are the ones that don’t fit in boxes.” — Tori Amos
Kevin has an intense drive to make things, which has led to him having many, many hobbies. When he gets the chance, he loves to draw and create fine art, especially fused glass. He is passionate about cars and loves to customize them by fabricating new parts (especially for his Mini Cooper!). He also plays a few musical instruments and has been writing and producing music since he was 12 years old. He collects Polaroid cameras and loves snapping photos with them. He has mastered a technique called “an emulsion lift,” which has elevated his photos into unique works of art.
When he’s not creating something, Kevin loves spending his time outdoors taking his dogs for hikes at state parks and nature trails. He also loves exploring new wineries. Each year, he goes to the Finger Lakes with his fiance to spend some time un-wine-ding.
