When it comes to creative writing and proper grammar, Beth’s career path was shaped very early on. Her mom was an English teacher who routinely corrected everyone’s grammar, while her dad logged 45 years at the same advertising agency where he wrote thousands of creative campaigns. Today, Beth’s the girl in the restaurant who can’t help noticing all the typos and spelling errors on the menu (much to the chagrin of her husband). A high point in her professional career was a 10-year gig writing for Runner’s World Magazine. Combining her two loves of writing and running, Beth traveled all over the United States writing (and running) in some of the coolest cities, even meeting some pretty exciting Olympians along the way.
Beth graduated from Moravian College in Bethlehem, PA, with a B.A. in English Literature and concentration in Journalism. She dabbled in sports writing for the school newspaper and was a contributing member of the college’s poetry magazine.
Beth is an avid reader who enjoys playing driveway basketball with her 11-year old son, Thomas. While she’s “retired” from marathoning, you can still find her running one of her many 4-mile loops around her neighborhood or taking her golden retriever, Boo Radley, to the local nursing home to share a little TLC. Beth loves baseball and is a die-hard Phillies fan. One of the things on her bucket list is to travel to all the ballparks across the States.
