Randi Anderson

Copywriter

Randi’s path to copywriting with KickCharge was winding, but paved with a love of language and creativity. Her original career choice was in teaching English as a second language, which took her from Ecuador to Brazil to, finally, an extended stay in Novosibirsk, Russia. After a few years of university teaching, she turned back to her true love—creative writing—and began writing, editing and translating travel content for an international company.

At KickCharge, Randi embraces the opportunity to make a real-world difference for small businesses through well-crafted and on-brand copy. Her favorite moment is when all the pieces come together: a clear message, an easy flow and a little extra flair that makes the whole thing pop.

Education

Randi graduated magna cum laude from Penn State University with a BA in Comparative Literature and a minor in German. She also completed a Master’s degree in Teaching English as a Second Language, with an emphasis on Applied Linguistics.

When Not at Work

A multitalented artist, Randi loves to paint and draw, write fiction and poetry and sing while playing guitar or piano. You might also catch her weeding her garden or having a blast with her fiance at a metal concert.

Greatest Passion (or Proudest Accomplishment)

Randi’s abiding passion is for language and culture, and she has studied eight foreign languages with varying degrees of accomplishment. Her favorite language is Russian, which she translates for fun. She aims to read “The Brothers Karamazov” fully in the original someday.
